DER-MEZ — Çima hat damezrandin?
DER-MEZ — Why Was It Established?

Komeleya Derûnnasên Mezopotamyayê (DER-MEZ) ji hewcedariya avakirina qada derûnnasiyê ya ku ziman, çand, dîrok û şertên civakî yên herêmê di nav xwe de digire, derketiye holê. DER-MEZ armanc dike ku pispor, lêkolîner û xwendekarên qada derûnnasiyê li hev bîne û ji bo parvekirina zanînê, hilberîna zanistî û pêşxistina hevkarîya pisporane zemînek ava bike. Herwiha, DER-MEZ dixwaze di pêşxistina tenduristiya derûnî û civakî de roleke çalak bilîze. Em bawer dikin ku derûniya mirovan ji çanda ku ew tê de mezin dibin, ji zimanê ku ew pê diaxivin, ji dîroka ku ew hilgirin û ji civaka ku ew tê de dijîn nayê veqetandin. Ji ber vê yekê, DER-MEZ dixwaze perspektîfên herêmî û çandî bixe nav nîqaş û lêkolînên derûnnasiyê û ji bo famkirina pirsgirêkên derûnî û civakî yên herêmê qadên nû yên lêkolîn û hevkarîyê biafirîne. Di vê çarçoveyê de, DER-MEZ li ser mijarên wekî derûnnasî, zimanê dayikê, çand, bîranîna civakî, perwerde, tenduristiya civakî û hevkarîya pisporane dixebite. DER-MEZ ji bo parvekirina zanînê, bihîstina dengên cuda û nîqaşkirina derûnnasiyê di nav çand û civakê de hatiye avakirin.

Association of Psychologists of Mesopotamia (DER-MEZ) emerged from the need to establish a field of psychology that also encompasses the language, culture, history, and social conditions of the region. DER-MEZ aims to bring together professionals, researchers, and students in the field of psychology and to create a platform for the exchange of knowledge, the production of scientific work, and the development of professional collaboration. At the same time, DER-MEZ seeks to play an active role in promoting mental and social well-being. We believe that the human psyche cannot be considered separately from the culture in which people grow up, the language they speak, the history they carry, and the society in which they live. Therefore, DER-MEZ seeks to bring regional and cultural perspectives into discussions and research in psychology and to create new areas of research and collaboration for understanding the psychological and social issues of the region. Within this framework, DER-MEZ works on topics such as psychology, mother tongue, culture, collective memory, education, social well-being, and professional collaboration. DER-MEZ was established to share knowledge, hear diverse voices, and discuss psychology within the context of culture and society.
